Buckle

Description
A rectangular plain buckle with rounded corners. Buckles with little or no decoration, particularly at the lower end of the market, are used throughout this period. There are two holes drilled into the middle top and bottom inner edges which do not extend through to the outside of the frame. This is for the central pin which is missing. This was likely made of iron as most buckles excavated have lost their moving parts as they corroded badly in the ground or being in very poor condition.
