Gouge

Description
A modern gouge is similar to a chisel except its blade edge is not flat, but instead is curved or angled in cross-section. Gouges are used extensively in woodworking and can be used for running flutes or paring curves. This example is stamped 'W.GILPIN WARRANTED' on the blade.
